The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee has once again partnered with WileyNXT to launch a Digital Business and E-commerce PG Certification Course in AI. This course is a one-of-its-kind course that will help to specialize in artificial intelligence, machine learning and deep learning techniques and applications in digital and eCommerce businesses after its AI in Banking Program, launched in September 2020.
Specifically, the course was targeted at students studying engineering, bachelors and masters in technology, computers, and who are ready to develop a career in digital business platforms. Existing engineering experts who aspire to have career growth in AI may also take the course. The successful applicants will obtain joint certification from WileyNXT and IIT Roorkee via this course.
Data suggested that 97 million new job roles would arise that would involve skills more suited to the new labour division, a partnership with machines and algorithms. Similarly, the eCommerce industry is projected to be estimated at $200 billion by 2026 or even sooner, with deeper internet penetration and increased consumer purchasing strength, the official release said.
Such a massive industry would therefore require massive talent and manpower, such as Retail Analyst, AI Engineer, Data Scientist, NLP Engineer, Product Manager ML, and VP Data Science Research Head, which fit into these futuristic job roles. With their insights and technology-driven creative strategies, these positions will expect the applicants to be pioneers and have the capacity to help operations.
Vikas Gupta, Wiley India's managing director, explained that the course industry is aligned and future-ready, and will serve as a catalyst to bridge the talent gap India is currently facing, making them ready for the transition of the digital economy.
Gupta further stated that India has become the fastest-growing e-commerce market with the increase in smartphone use, major government initiatives, and the introduction of the 4G network. With this advanced course, after the pandemic, you will be able to learn cutting-edge AI skills for high-growth employment in digital and eCommerce businesses.
For digital companies and eCommerce sites, Artificial Intelligence has become quite an important factor, not just to drive development but also to curate personalized customer experience for a better outcome. With its action learning approach, this course has been developed to help candidates learn about AI's actual application uses and consider the effect of AI trends on these organizations, such as chatbots, image and speech recognition, and intelligent automation.

Learners will be able to gain knowledge of resources and technologies such as Python, TensorFlow, NLTK, NumPy, to name a few during this course. The curriculum will also include master classes by different industry experts; online courseware; eBooks library with 20+ top AI Wiley books and analytics from internationally renowned authors, and online laboratory exercises and project work for many hours.
