The official notification concerning the IBPS SO Recruitment 2020-21 to hire candidates for the post of Specialist Officer (SO) has been released by the Institute of Banking Personnel (IBPS). Every year the IBPS SO Exam is conducted for employing candidates for the posts of Specialist Officers across the various verticals. Completed through 3 stages including Prelims, Main Exam, and Interview round, IBPS SO is applied by lakhs of students every year irrespective of the vacancies. The participating banks for IBPS SO 2020-2021 are Bank of Baroda, UCO Bank, Canara Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Bank of India, Indian Bank, Central Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Punjab National Bank, Union Bank of India along with Punjab & Sind Bank.
The online registration for the exam had already started and ended in November 2020. With the Prelims and Main Examination stipulated to be held in December and January, the mode of exam will remain online just like every year. According to the IBPS Calendar 2020-21, the IBPS SO Prelims Exam is supposed to be conducted on 26th and 27th December 2020 and IBPS SO Mains Exam has been programmed for 24th January 2021. These dates are tentative and subject to any change by the authority.

IBPS SO 2020 Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
To be eligible for IBPS SO 2020-21 exam the candidates must meet the criteria of citizenship of India issued by the government of India.
Candidates satisfying the following criteria can apply for the IBPS SO 2020-21 exam:
Candidates should be either a subject of Nepal or a citizen of Bhutan or a Tibetan Refugee, arriving in India prior to1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or Persons migrated to India with the intention of permanently settling in India, along with the certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
Educational Qualification
1. The candidates who are interested to apply for I.T Officer (Scale-I), must have a 4-year Engineering/Technology degree or PG in CS/CA/IT/EE/EC/Electronics & Instrumentation/Electronics & Telecommunications or graduate who have passed DOEACC 'B' LEVEL.
2. For Agricultural Field Officer (Scale-I) the candidates should have a 4-year Degree (graduation) in Agriculture/ Agricultural Biotechnology/Pisciculture/Horticulture/ Forestry/ Food Science/Dairy Science/Animal Husbandry/Veterinary Science/Fishery Science / Agri. Marketing/ Agriculture Business Management/ Co-operation & Banking/ Agro-Forestry/ Food Tech./ Dairy Tech./ Agricultural Engineering/ Sericulture.
3. The candidates with PG Degree in Hindi with English as a core subject OR PG Degree in Sanskrit with English & Hindi as core subjects are eligible for Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale-I).
4. The candidates who want to apply for For Law Officer (Scale-I) must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) and enrolled as an advocate with Bar Council.
5. The candidates who are graduate and have completed 2 Years Full-time PG degree or 2 Years Full-time PG Diploma in Personnel Management /Industrial Relations/HR/HRD/Social Work /Labour Law are eligible for HR/Personnel Officer (Scale-I).
6. The candidates who want to apply for Marketing Officer (Scale-I) must have completed 2 Years Full-time MMS (Marketing)/ 2 Years Full-time MBA (Marketing)/ 2 Years Full-time PGDBA/PGDBM/ PGPM/PGDM with specialization in Marketing.
The age of applicant should be between 20 to 30 years as on 1st November, 2020 to be eligible for applying the IBPS SO Exam.
